new baby girls, first knit pants

These are for the new baby, I knit them before I knew I was having a girl so I lucked out on the colors. I chose the colors because these were just the random colors I had left in wools. I like them together. My friend Cassie says they remind her of the Allsorts licorice candies. I think I must have sugar and food on the mind lately, cherry pants, twix colored cardigan and now this. Now that I know for sure that I'm having a girl you're going to see a lot more girly stuff.

but I definitely think we'd see some "Asay" crack if I let her run around in them. Little too tight in the bum region :)
Stats: Newborn
uhh I'll fill this in later

yeah my first cardigan is knit!

This sweater reminds me of a twix candy bar, carmel, chocolate and yummy cookie :) I really like the way it turned out. I didn't have time to block it before I gave it to my friend for her baby, so the pictures aren't as cute as the real thing. I couldn't stop looking at it thinking "wow, I made that!" very proud that I made a button loop and sewed a button on...learning new skills every day yeah!
Stats: Size 8 and 6 circular needles
Vannas Choice Acrylic - Beige, Toffee, and Honey
Just followed the pattern for all measurements.

My little cherry butt

I saw a pair like this on the cranky pants website so I thought the cherries might be easy enough to try duplicate stitch on. Plus I thought they were adorable. I like the way they turned out but being my own worst critic, I know there is a lot of things I'll do different next time.
Stats: Vannas Choice Acrylic Lion Brand (I thought I'd test out the difference for myself... I definately like wool better.) Dusty green, Olive, and Scarlett
Size 8 needles
elastic waistband
Size Large with backside increases and short rows
Seed stitch cuff (at least my sad attempt at seed stitch)
ruffle- 1st row increase every other stitch, then knit row, then increase every 2 stitches, then knit row, then increase every three stitches, knit row, then increase every four stitches and bind off
4 inch inseam

Finally, the dreaded pants are done!

These are only my second pants I've knit and already I've lost momentum to knit. Being in the first trimester of pregnancy didn't help much either. When I learn duplicate stitch I might have Cassie help me with an owl on the butt of these.

Size 8 circular needles on body, double pointed needles on legs (not by choice)
