back of striped pants

I did the heart without a pattern, wish I had done it with a pattern but it's done and that's what makes me happy!

nessas birthday presents

The side slip cloche hat is my favorite. I don't know if my sister likes it but I like it so much I want to have one for this winter. I've started my next project and I'm very excited about it, so you'll have wait and see

stats: yarn Deborah Norville-Serenity worsted weight premier yarns color-walnut
just followed the pattern except to the top of the hat where I decreased two rows then I knit one row in between. Fits me good but didn't have nessa here to see how it fits her. I'll have to make her take a picture and e-mail me so I can put it on here.

new baby girls, first knit pants

These are for the new baby, I knit them before I knew I was having a girl so I lucked out on the colors. I chose the colors because these were just the random colors I had left in wools. I like them together. My friend Cassie says they remind her of the Allsorts licorice candies. I think I must have sugar and food on the mind lately, cherry pants, twix colored cardigan and now this. Now that I know for sure that I'm having a girl you're going to see a lot more girly stuff.

This is Audrey being squished into the newborn size pants, they look very cute as shorts for her...

but I definitely think we'd see some "Asay" crack if I let her run around in them. Little too tight in the bum region :)

Stats: Newborn
uhh I'll fill this in later

yeah my first cardigan is knit!

This sweater reminds me of a twix candy bar, carmel, chocolate and yummy cookie :)  I really like the way it turned out.  I didn't have time to block it before I gave it to my friend for her baby,  so the pictures aren't as cute as the real thing.  I couldn't stop looking at it thinking "wow, I made that!"  very proud that I made a button loop and sewed a button on...learning new skills every day yeah!

Stats:  Size 8 and 6 circular needles
Vannas Choice Acrylic - Beige, Toffee, and Honey
Just followed the pattern for all measurements.

old man sweater dress is done :)

I originally was going to put a flower on this to make it more girly but then my friend had the idea of argyle... I thought it was a cute idea but now I'm not sure if this looks too boyish. Oh well, I'm giving it to a friend for her baby girl in July so hopefully she is less critical about it than I am. It was fun to make my first dress though!

Stats: Anouk pattern - closed the sides of the dress, no pockets or side tabs, and my own colors and design.
Size 8 needles (pattern called for size 5 needles and cast on 138 stitches, I used size 8 and cast on 101 stitches)
yarn- Vannas Choice same greens as in cherry pants
dress measures 6.5 inches from bottom to start of arm holes. 4 in from arm holes to begginning of collar.
